Can't get in? We can help. Login issues are totally normal when you're brand new — and most are simple fixes. This page walks through how to find your login information, log in to each platform, and what to do if you're having issues.
Most login issues are caused by:
- Being signed into an existing Google account
- Using the wrong email address
- Entering an old or incorrect password
- Trying to log in through the wrong portal
Start with the steps below. If you're still stuck, TSD can help get you back in.
Finding your login information
Your username and password are sent to you a few days before your start date by your Success Coach — and again on your first day. If you can't find them, start here:
- School communications. Search your inbox for the word "credentials" and check spam or junk folders. These go to the primary guardian on file a few days before the student's start date.
- Your Success Coach. If you can't locate your username or password, they can help you find or reset them.
Tip: Your student's Canvas/school login is typically their school-issued email address — it may look different from a personal Gmail.
Logging in to Canvas
Go to your school's homepage
Click the Student Login button (check your email for the link, or find it through your school's portal on the My School page).
Enter your credentials
Type your student's school email address and password.
Click Log In
You'll land on your Canvas Dashboard, where you'll see your courses.
Can't find the Canvas login link? Go to the My School page and find your school's portal — the Canvas login is typically linked from there.
The Canvas parent/guardian observer account
The Canvas Parent Observer Account gives parents and guardians a dedicated view of their student's progress in Canvas. It's separate from the student login.
Your observer account login credentials were included in your enrollment communications. If you haven't set up your parent account yet, contact your Success Coach.
The parent/guardian Canvas Observer account is not the same as the PowerSchool Parent Portal. Some ACCEL schools use PowerSchool as their student information system (SIS). If your school uses PowerSchool, you'll receive login instructions directly from the school.
Accessing the PowerSchool Parent Portal
Visit your school's PowerSchool login page
Enter your parent username/email and password
First time? Create your account
Follow your school's instructions to create your parent account and connect your student.

Resetting a forgotten password
Go to your Canvas login page
Click "Forgot Password?"
It's below the login fields.
Enter your email address
Use the email associated with the account.
Check your inbox
Follow the password reset link and instructions.
